I have 14+ years as an experienced architect and senior project manager with demonstrated history working in the building, construction & energy industries. Highly experienced in project and facilities management, design management, feasibility studies, BIM and mixed-use development. Strong projects and operations professional with an entrepreneurial and transformative leadership focus.
I am co-founder of Strauss Energy Ltd., an award-winning energy enterprise that seeks to alleviate energy poverty in Kenya and Africa at large; and a director at Trioscape Space Planning Ltd., an architectural firm that seeks to offer quality-built environment spaces while leveraging on technology.
In addition to indulging in the energy industry through reduction of poverty by affording everyone a solar powered roof that can also generate passive income for their home, I am an avid built environment sustainability enthusiast with particular interest in the use of digital technology. My experience spans in different areas such as commercial buildings, residentials, hospitality and health.
Work-Life Integration:
Not one to shy away from a good challenge, and to maintain a healthy balance in life, I enjoy the outdoors and a good hiking challenge or run are welcome. I enjoy listening to audio books and podcasts on self-development, leadership and entrepreneurship journeys. I aim to purposefully listen to this media for at least 2 hours a day. Interestingly, this habit builds on the power of listening to understand, not to respond.
To level-up higher and be valuable in society, I mentor young women and women entrepreneurs who seek to take up challenging STEM careers that will aid in changing the world for the better.
